Tomorrow, When The War began
Film Review by COASTERFRECK
Tomorrow, When The War Began is an epic Australian adventure movie. Focusing on seventeen-year-old Ellie Lington portrayed by the actress Caitlin Stasey. And her seven friends, who go camping in “Hell” while they are away, their country was invaded by enemy forces.
Stuart Beattie did an amazing job at adapting the book by John Marsden. Stuart also did a fantastic job at directing the film and he stayed very true to the book.
Caitlin Stasey did an amazing portrayal of Ellie the main character. Actually all of the actors and actresses did an amazing portrayal of their characters. Another notable actor was Deniz Akdeniz who portrayed Homer who is extremely funny when they are camping in Hell but changes his personality when he realises what has happened to their country.
The story goes through a journey of feelings and emotions for all of the characters, I personally think Ellie and Homer have the biggest journey.
You can easily sympathise with all of the characters, and their emotions in their situation, their lives have been quickly overturned and changed forever.
Personally the Tomorrow Series is one of the best Australian book series. This is also one of the best Australian films too.
This film has elements of Action, Adventure, Friendship, and War. If you put all of these four elements together in one film you have perfection!
The Tomorrow, When The War Began book was written amazingly by John Marsden, the film was amazingly adaptated and directed by Stuart Beattie and has a brilliant cast.
To conclude I look forward and hope that the other books get adapted into films!
